Celebrate Peace Day in Hungary

What is the single universal celebration of the one thing every human – regardless of religion or nation – wants most fundamentally

The Global Day of Peace and Non-violence, September 21th

In Hungary Egy Nap Béke supports the global Peace One Day movement by

  • Celebrating peace
  • Promoting non-violence
  • Improving multicultural communication

We use sports, dance, and culture to bring people together with fun and festive events to reinforce a culture of cooperative problem solving and a non-violent future.

We document our progress with pictures and videos. We use social media and YouTube to reach as many people as possible. We cooperate with individuals and organizations who share our enthusiasm for peace.

At the peak of a year long program, we and our friends are organizing several events for the weekend of September 21st.

One of our flagship events is the Peace Run on the evening of September 21st, lead by the torch carrying Running Ambassadors of the BSI.

There will also be a Fair Play Football tournament, a tennis event dedicated to peace, and a family horse-back-riding program.

There will also be cultural events like musical events and the 24 hour literature program where celebrities and everyday people like you will read poems and novels touching on peace and non-violence.

We have an enthusiastic team working on making this world a better place.

How do you want to celebrate?

Talk to us, and we can help promote and celebrate peace and non-violence.

Our first video recorded today

Many thanks to Declan Hannigan for recording our first Egy Nap béke video based on my community speech on the January Gift of the Gab. Will share the link as soon as it will be published.

My very first appearance :-) ))

My best ever birthday present – Thank You Mira!!!

There will be a Peace run all around Hungary with torches on September 21st to celebrate the Global Day of Peace and Non-Violence. This is my best ever birthday present in my life!

I had my birthday yesterday, and I talked to my friend Mira Kiss.

She is an amazing person, real renaissance woman, and a great runner. As a recognition of her work and enthusiasm, she was selected as one of the 45 running ambassadors of BSI in Hungary. She will also be one of the carriers of the Olympic torch this summer in London! Wow!

I told her about our program Egy nap béke (Peace One Day), and that we use sport, culture, dance and the communities to promote peace and non-violence. And she told me that she can help with organizing this run!

People say that I have lots of energy. But I only have this because I am surrounded with fantastic people who inspire and support me continuously.

I would like to learn from you, how would you like to celebrate peace day, to promote peace and non-violence.

Please WRITE to us, and LIKE us and SHARE our blog on your sites so that we can reach as many people as possible!

THANK YOU Mira!

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

What does Peace mean for you?

Peace is like Oxygen. We only think about it when it is missing. But then it is too late.

What peace means in your life and in your community?

Please share with us your thoughts and ideas!

Thank You!
