Jeremy Gilley: One day of peace

TEDGlobal 2011, Filmed: Jul 2011,

Jeremy Gilley launched the Peace One Day movement in 1999.

But I didn’t hear about it until September 21, 2011.

A friend of mine shared his TED speech on Facebook. Two days later, on September 23, 2011 I attended the TEDx Danubia conference in Budapest, Hungary. During the breaks I spent a lot of time talking with my friends about how we could promote this program in Hungary, and what Peace and Non-Violence means for us.

They might have thought that I was a bit odd. But now, that we are gaining momentum, they are all with me in supporting this program.

Check it out for yourself at the link below. If you like it, and would like to promote non-violence in Hungary, contact us on info@egynapbeke.org and we can make it happen.

If you prefer to have Hungarian subtitles, just go to the „Subtitles available in:” section and select Hungarian. We have translated it for you!

John Hunter on the World Peace Game

TED2011, Filmed: Mar 2011,

Our next inspiration is to start playing World Peace Game in Hungary.

We want to bring it into schools for the kids.

But also for adults, who can rediscover the child inside them, and find ideas to make the world a better place.

Listen to John on this link, and tell us, when and how you would like to play it on info@egynapbeke.org .

This is also available with Hungarian subtitles. I can even recommend this to our English-speaking friends who would like to pick up some Hungarian words.
